International District/Chinatown, Seattle, King County, Washington, 98104
Seattle’s Chinatown-International District (commonly known as the CID) is the heart of the city’s Asian American community. The three areas known as Seattle’s Chinatown, Japantown, and Little Saigon are located within the Chinatown International District and are called for the concentrations of businesses owned by persons of Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese heritage, respectively. Manilatown in Seattle was originally included in the geographical area. During the summer, the area organizes a Lunar New Year event, Dragon Fest, a pan-Asian American festival, and a night market in early fall. Friends of Little Saigon, a non-profit organization, presents an annual Vietnamese culture celebration called Celebrate Little Saigon.
