Hawthorne Hills is a Seattle residential area. It is technically divided into the neighborhoods of Bryant and Windermere, however it is widely considered as a separate neighborhood. The area is named for Hawthorne Kingsbury Dent, a famous Seattle insurance executive who controlled most of what is now known as Hawthorne Hills in the early 1900s. Seattle Fire Station 38, Metropolitan Market Sand Point, Bryant Neighborhood Playground, Burke-Gilman Playground Park, National Archives and Records, the Center for Spiritual Living, and Congregation Shaarei Tefilah-Lubavitch are all located in the neighborhood.
