Wedgwood, Seattle, King County, Washington, 98115
Wedgwood is a middle-class neighborhood in northeast Seattle with a small commercial strip. Wedgwood is roughly 3.2 kilometers north and slightly east of the University of Washington, and 9.7 kilometers northeast of Downtown. The neighborhood is also characteristic of Seattle neighborhoods in that it has multiple names and multiple, overlapping, but well-documented descriptions of the community. Along 35th Avenue NE, there is a commercial sector with supermarkets, the Fiddler’s Inn tavern, and a live music venue, one of the few this far from the city center. A petrol station, veterinarian office, and an east-coast-style Hunan Chinese restaurant and bar are located near that intersection.
