Mercer Island is a city in King County, located on the same-named island in the southern part of Lake Washington. Mercer Island is located in the Seattle metropolitan area, with the city of Seattle to the west and Bellevue to the east. The population was 25,748 at the time of the 2020 census. There are numerous parks in the surrounding area. Luther Burbank Park features a public boat dock and fishing pier, a swimming beach, an amphitheater, tennis courts, grilling and picnic areas, and an off-leash dog park. Softball grounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic shelters, and the Freeway Sculpture Park are all available in Aubrey Davis Park.
