Auburn, King County, Washington
Auburn is a suburb in the Seattle metropolitan region and the 14th largest city in the state of Washington. To the south and southeast is the Muckleshoot Indian Reservation. The displays in the White River Valley Museum focus on Auburn, from Native American history to the 1920s. They concentrate on the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, pioneer life, European and Japanese immigration, truck farming, railroading, and the development of cities throughout the region. Visitors can explore a replica of a pioneer cabin, board a Northern Pacific Railway caboose, and shop in a replica of downtown Auburn in 1924.
