Queen Anne is a neighborhood and physical feature located northwest of downtown Seattle, Washington, United States. The wealthy area is located atop the eponymous hill, which has a maximum elevation of 139 meters, making it Seattle’s highest-named hill. The hill quickly became a desirable location for the city’s early economic and cultural elite to construct houses. Its name is derived from the architectural style used to construct many of the early homes.
