Mount Baker is a neighborhood in Seattle’s southeast quadrant. The name of the area stems from a vista of Mount Baker in Whatcom County that can be seen by gazing north over Lake Washington. There is a community club and a rowing team in the neighborhood. It is the site of Seattle’s annual Seafair, which includes an airshow including the United States Navy Blue Angels, hydroplane racing, a fireworks display, and other events. This area is served by Franklin High School and Garfield High School.
