Montlake, Seattle, King County, Washington, 98112
Montlake is a rich residential area in Seattle’s central business district. Though sports at the University of Washington are referred to as “Montlake,” UW sports facilities are not located inside the area’s conventional boundaries; rather, they are located on Montlake Boulevard, across the Montlake Cut from the neighborhood. Along 24th Avenue East in Montlake, there is a fairly modest commercial area. It houses the Italian restaurant Cafe Lago, the neighborhood pub Montlake Alehouse, Mr. Johnson’s Antiques, a branch of the Seattle Public Library, and what was once a small market and dry cleaner.
