Laurelhurst is a Seattle residential neighborhood. The neighborhood is one of Seattle’s most costly. The community center is designated as a city landmark. Gathering spots include the Laurelhurst Beach Club, Laurelhurst Park, and the Laurelhurst Community Center. Laurelhurst has had some prominent inhabitants, including Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas, who rented a waterfront property one summer while filming a movie; musician Duff McKagan; and Bill Gates, who resided in Wallingford as a young child before relocating to the neighborhood, where his father Bill Gates Sr. lived.
