Capitol Hill, Seattle, King County, Washington, 98102
Capitol Hill is a highly populated residential neighborhood in Seattle. It is home to a historic homosexual village and a strong counterculture subculture, and it is one of the city’s most popular nightlife and entertainment districts. Capitol Hill is renowned as a musical culture hotspot in Seattle, and it is the neighborhood most closely linked with the grunge scene of the early 1990s, despite the fact that most of the best-known music venues of that era were actually located slightly outside the district. Since then, the music scene has evolved, and presently a wide range of genres (electronica, rock, punk, folk, salsa, hip hop, and trance) are represented.
