Magnolia, Seattle, King County, Washington, 98199

Magnolia is Seattle’s second largest neighborhood in terms of land area. It is situated on a steep peninsula northwest of downtown. Discovery Park, previously Fort Lawton of the United States Army, occupies a large chunk of the peninsula. Magnolia is separated from the rest of Seattle, with only three bridges over BNSF Railway tracks connecting it to the rest of the city. Locals refer to Magnolia’s business district as “The Village,” and it is home to a variety of specialty retailers, professional services, restaurants, and industrial and maritime services. In the summer, a farmers market is held on Saturdays in Magnolia Village.
