Map of Vashon

Vashon, King County, Washington, 98070

Vashon is an unincorporated community in King County. It encompasses Vashon Island, also known as Vashon-Maury Island, the largest island in Puget Sound south of Admiralty Inlet. The Washington State Ferries system connects the island to West Seattle and the Kitsap Peninsula to the north and Tacoma to the south, as well as to Downtown Seattle via the King County Water Taxi. To preserve its relative remoteness and rustic nature, the island has resisted the construction of a fixed bridge. Vashon Island is also well-known for its annual strawberry festival, old sheepdog trials, and farming.
