Located on the University of Washington campus, the Territorial University Columns are remnants of Seattle’s original university building from the 1860s. Known affectionately as “The Four Columns,” these Doric-style structures were preserved when the old university was demolished and now stand at Sylvan Grove Theater. They symbolize the city’s long-standing commitment to higher education and are a favorite site for student photography, graduation pictures, and university heritage tours.
